Origination, Divine Realm
Universe of Meian!Tale
The Story of Lumine DivineaIn a realm of light and prosperity, there's a young Angelic Being with pale skin, short white hair, and blue eyes. She is a very loving, friendly, and carefree person. Her name is Lumine, and she lives with her family in a city residing in the Kingdom of Aeternia. Her family runs a large Bakery that makes and sells just about any dessert or sweet food you could imagine. She has a lot of friends, but the one closest to her is a boy named Orion. He has long white hair, and yellow eyes. He comes from a small town on the opposite side of Aeternia, but moved to the city several years ago, and that's when they met and became best friends.Lumine went to school for a very long time, but stopped attending when she turned 12 years of age to focus on the Bakery, and to achieve a dream that she's been chasing for a few years. She wants to join the high ranking Divine Beings and become a Seraphim so that she can better help the people of her Kingdom and provide them with better lives. She wants to be a leader and fight for nothing but good. So, instead of attending school, Lumine joined an organization called the Sanctus Armata, working similarly to the Military. that would allow her to work towards that dream. The people in the organization professionally train people like her in both combat and education to prepare them and provide them with a higher chance of being recognized by the Divine Council, the lineage that the Seraphim belong to. It covers things that you would typically learn in high ranking Royal Academies. Educating you on things like how to build and rule over your ownShe was put through many difficult tests every month, and often felt like giving up due to the stress it put on her physical and mental being, but she kept going. And, for her 15th birthday, Lumine finally requested for the organization to send out a message to the Divine Council, believing that she was ready, having become one of the currently strongest Angelic Beings to be trained by them. She was very proud of herself in how hard she worked towards this moment. After waiting for 5 months, and stressing to no end about what response she may get, she was informed the request had finally been accepted, and that her organization has already provided statistics beyond what is needed for sufficient eligibility. A ceremony will be held to ascend her rank to Seraphim. However, she has to wait until her 16th birthday, 7 months. This will provide further training and education, securing her spot among the Divine Council.Being the most excited she's ever been, she went home to tell her family about her accomplishments and what will be soon to come, and she was greeted with happiness and support. Her Father had some news to share, as well. Apparently, she is going to have a younger brother. Her Mother is pregnant, and it's going to be born in 8 months. Lumine began to smile brightly, and excitedly hugged both of her parents tightly. She expressed the hope to visit more frequently like she used to and apologized for how busy she had become. Her parents expressed that they were just happy that their daughter is achieving her own goals. Lumine smiled once more and offered to have dinner with them before she stopped by Orion's house to tell him the news as well. They accepted, and a big meal was eaten. She then wished them a good night, promising a definite return after she has achieved her goals, and made her way to the home of her Best Friend. After arriving at Orion's home, and telling him of the news, he showed disinterest in the idea. He told her that if she is going to join the higher ranks and become Seraphim, she will become one of the strongest beings in their Realm, but lose sight in her goals and friendships. His opinion being that every time someone rises to power, they abuse it and shift to a path of evil. Lumine attempted to explain that she wasn't joining for any sort of power or control over Angelic Beings like him. She, and the other Divine Beings, just wanted to be a good leader and provide great things for her people. But all words fell upon deaf ears, as Orion was already taking his leave, refusing to listen to further reason. Lumine was upset, but decided to give another attempt at a later time.To distract herself from the stress she's been enduring, Lumine picked up some hobbies. When she wasn't busy, she would practice sewing fabrics together to create unique clothing for herself. She enjoyed doing it, And it helped to expand her own wardrobe and increase her creativity. She also went back to helping her parents at their Bakery for the remainder of the months to come. And on the day of her 16th birthday, the time for the ceremony had arrived.Lumine was escorted down a long hallway, into a room with crowds of people. Some, she recognized as being regular customers of the bakery, but others were just strangers to her. To her surprise, Orion was not there. She sighed, before being guided down the middle of the room up to an altar in the back, where a few Seraphim men and women stood, awaiting her. Lumine then walked up to the altar, beaming with joy, as the Seraphim surrounded her. One of them placed a sacred artifact of holy light atop her head, shaped like a crown. She then began to glow as the Seraphim started the power transfer.Particles of golden light surrounded Lumine for a while, and her body began to feel energized. She could feel her powers being quickly strengthened. Two other pairs of wings started to grow out of her back, and the crown of light, attaching itself to her soul, shone brighter than ever. The process was incredibly painful, and yet she chose to hide it. This is what she had earned, after all. Then, after another minute had passed, the bright glow ceased. The power transfer was over, Lumine was now one of them. A meeting was then held shortly after, to explain to her about newly acquired strength and abilities. It was very late at night by the time the ceremonial process had ended. On the way home, Lumine decided to look for Orion, who was walking around at the city park. After he laid eyes on her, He gave a bittersweet smile, and expressed that he really hopes she knows what she's doing. She reassured him, and said that she's going to do her absolute best to do what's best for Aeternia. Orion sighed, and slightly averted his eyes, before stating that he's proud of her.Lumine smiled happily at hearing those words, before timidly asking if she could meet up with him in a few days. She added that they would be meeting at a nearby lake, just to hang out and enjoy nature. He accepted the offer, and they slowly moved to other topics. A couple hours passed, and the conversation they were having came to an end. They wished each other a good night, and went their separate ways, unknowing to him that she was going to confess her romantic feelings to him. Lumine enjoyed her slow walk back to her home.I'M GOING TO GIVE A BIG TRIGGER WARNING FOR THIS NEXT SECTION SINCE IT CONTAINS DETAILED TEXT OF A CHARACTER LORE BASED DEATH. IF YOU'RE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THIS TYPE OF THING, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN PAST THE RED UNTIL YOU SEE THE CHAPTER WITH THE BRIGHT BLUE PLAID BACKGROUND. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.After arriving home, Lumine unlocked the front door and walked inside. The lights were off, and it was very dark, so she moved over to where she knew a light switch was located, and turned it on. Her heart suddenly sank to the deepest pits of her stomach, and she dropped the bag she was holding. Because she would've never expected to see the scene in front of her. There's blood covering a large amount of her living room, covering the walls, floors, and furniture. And on the floor, was her parents. Their bodies, essentially ripped into shreds and bleeding from many open wounds. It's no use, they're dead. Lumine began to realize the situation, and quickly started to spiral into a mental state of fear and devastation, tears rolling down her face. Before her body could even fully begin to comprehend how she should feel, She heard footsteps approaching towards her active location. She didn't even consider any other actions, and ran to another part of the house, her bedroom, locking the door. And just in time, because whoever was outside her room was trying to get in, and they started to bang on the door quite violently. Lumine started to charge up an attack of Holy Light, terrified for her life, and feeling pure desolation. Her mind was setting into shock and she started to tremble heavily.Things were quiet for a couple minutes, then suddenly a blast of dark red light destroyed her door, causing Lumine to let out a scream. She immediately released all the energy she had been building up at the intruder, causing them to be launched outside of her room and into the wall. She wasn't able to recognize whoever it was, due to their face being mostly covered by a hood and a mask. That didn't matter, it was the last thought on her mind to figure out their identity. This was a chance to escape or end up like her family, and so she took to running. She sprinted out of her room and past the intruder. She just has to make it outside and she'd be safe. Those were the thoughts she chose as futile comfort to her own self.Lumine almost had freedom, her hand in the midst of grasping the doorknob, when she was struck from behind with such a powerful blow that she broke through the door and outside of the house. She laid on the ground, finding it difficult to breathe for a moment, before coughing up some blood, but immediately attempting to get back on her feet. The desperation to get out of this situation was overwhelming. She tried once again to charge up another beam attack, when suddenly her magic failed, causing a few sparks of light to appear before fading. Her vision began to go dark. Everything was cold, and so very painful. And then she felt relief. A great warmth, just before her body went numb. She had just been impaled completely through her soul by a sharp stake created from Cursed Light. This is where her life was taken. Unknowing to Lumine, the person to commit the slaughter, was Orion. She will never find out who it is, but action was taken against his horrible sin and he was cast out of the Divine Realm to suffer as an Infernal Being.
Reincarnation, Monster Realm
Universe of MeianTale
The story of Lykoria AbyseumIt was completely dark and quiet for a very long time... But suddenly, her eyes opened. Lumine was laying in an unfamiliar place. She looked around, but the area around her was quite dim. It seemed like a children's room, and she was laying in a small bed. Turning over, and suddenly falling to the ground, she didn't react, and seemed to be in a state of emotional confusion and numbness.
"I'm so tired.", she thought to herself.
As she stood, she placed a hand on her head.
"My head, it hurts... Where....What is this room? I don't recognize.."Slowly, the realization was setting in, and memories begin entering her mind. It's seemed like such a long time, somehow. Really, where is she? And where is the one that had attacked her? "Was that person, actually....?". It was at this moment that she realized she wasn't injured. Come to think of it, as she went to the window and looked outside, she didn't seem to be in Aeternia anymore either. Lumine began to wander around the room. She tripped over a few scattered toys and fell on her face, letting out a small groan of pain.
"Well, I'm definitely alive... I felt that.."
She stood back on her feet and looked around. She noticed a mirror across the room and decided to step in front of it, becoming very surprised by what she saw. She looked so different now. She had the body of a small child. Her hair was still white, but it was longer now. She had animal ears and a tail, both being that of a wolf. Her eyes were still blue, but her left eye was of a more cyan coloration now. She was wearing something completely different. Piecing together the current information, it was suddenly realized that she was no longer Lumine. Was this reincarnation? Tears began to appear in her eyes, and she began to mentally spiral. Sobbing quietly, many thoughts formed in her mind. "So I really did die? That horrible person really ended my life, and for what reason? What did I do to deserve that?!". She felt great sorrow in regards to knowing that she had been murdered. She could only think of how much suffering her family must have gone through as well. She was supposed to be an older sister, and a leader for many other people.Suddenly, the light in the room turned on, and a woman who looks similar to her was standing in the entrance to the room. The woman looked worried at seeing her cry, and quickly approached, picking her up and holding Lumine gently in her arms.
(???): "Lykoria...? Please tell me, what happened?"
After she spoke, Lykoria felt a calming wave of relaxation enter her body. She could already tell who this woman was. Her Mother. And judging by what she referred to Lumine as, it's safe to say that's her name, now.
(Lykoria): "Mama, I fell down.... I just had a nightmare...."
(???): "I'm sorry honey, I'll stay with you for a while...Let's try to go back to dream land, okay?"Having to fake the situation felt bad, But.... Hearing these words brought comfort to Lykoria, and her body was already becoming tired again. She fell asleep in the arms of the woman, who kept to her words and stayed by her side to keep her company for a few hours. After waking in the morning, she decided to hang out with her family to figure out her new environment. She learned she was living in the Monster Realm, as part of the Lycan species, and her age was 3. Some types of Monsters seem to physically age 3 years faster than Humans or Angelic Beings, since she definitely seemed physically older than her actual age. Lykoria found that interesting. She learned of her family and home. That the name of her Mother was Theia, and her father named Boreas. Their home is in Glacea Town. Her Mother works as Head Royal Scientist at the Laboratory that's part of the Stelarian Kingdom where they live. Her father works as an Astrophysicist. She has an older sister named Soleia, a twin brother named Equinox, and they were expecting another daughter soon. Despite the fact that she barely knew them, she quickly learned to love them and frequently interacted with her family.Outside of family, Lykoria wasn't very social, and got into trouble somewhat often, but managed to make a few friends. One in particular, is the very young Asterian Princess that visits The Royal Family of Stelaris quite often. her name is Jaida. She is a Felynx, a species very similar to a Lycan with the exception of being extremely cat-like in both appearance and behavior. The two became really
great friends very fast.7 months later: Skylia had just been born, and Lykoria was very excited to have a little sister. Soleia, being the older one, helped her Mother and Father take care of the new child. Shortly after, Lykoria started hearing word of a War in her Kingdom that would happen in several years. The Humans had killed a human that lived with the Monsters, as well as Fuji, the Prince of their Kingdom. They planted Wisteria all over their garden as a memorial. The Stelarian Royal Family wanted to ensure they were properly prepared before announcing it to the Humans.Lykoria was worried, not wanting to risk losing her life again. But then she went to Skylia, sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. She thought of her family, and felt something new. She wanted to protect her family. Not just her little sister, but her parents and other siblings, as well. And instead of keeping the trauma with her, and refusing to move on from it, instead of wanting to stay alive no matter what, she put the past behind her. It was going to be hard, but Lykoria was willing to figure it out. She knew she could use magic, being part of the Monster Realm, but she was still too young to know how, even if her Elemental Core was activated. She decided to wait some time longer before really acting on a plan.5 years old: Lykoria started training in secret for the upcoming Human and Monster war, as she wanted to help, if not even by a little. She asked her Father to teach her how to use magic, but didn't tell him the reason. She wanted to know which type she was able to use. He gladly assisted, and started lightly sparring with her, as a way to activate her Elemental Core. Much to the pleasant surprise of Boreas, they learned soon after, she was able to use a type of Ice Magic. The same type that he has. Discovered many years ago, it was named Glacial Magic. She learned fast, and with her Dad's help, developed different techniques to use it during both casual and combative situations.Ivy, the Queen of the Stelarian Kingdom, gave life to their new princess. They named her "Sakura", and planted a single Cherry Blossom tree in their Garden, so that the siblings would be together, symbolically. Sakura may never know her late brother, but she will certainly grow into an amazing person.8 months later: After a while, Boreas ran out of things he could teach Lykoria. She learned very fast, and was able to manage her Magic quite efficiently. She told him about her plans to join the War between Humans and Monsters. He expressed many reasonable concerns, as her parent. But she didn't care, and heavily argued against every point that this is what she wanted to do. To protect her people. Boreas strictly turned down the idea, regardless. Unable to take the rejection as an answer, and holding back massive amounts of tears, Lykoria heavily expressed, in a frustrated manner that she doesn't want to go through the pain of losing anyone.Boreas, feeling empathy, and truly seeing strong potential in his daughter, contacted the Royal Family for further training as she wished. They, just as concerned as Boreas, reluctantly agreed but took her in for training regardless. Boreas and Eclipse, the Captain of the Royal Guard, began properly preparing Lykoria for the War. It started out as low level training, before moving into advanced level sparring. Over the next 5 years, they only further amped up the intensity of combat sessions until the date was finally announced. In a few months, it will happen. So Lykoria waited.10 years old: And so, it became a reality. Lykoria, and many other powerful Monsters were sent out to face battle against humans. While her combat training proved very useful, she soon realized none of the violence was enjoyable. On her own, she concluded that the bloodshed and unfortunate deaths couldn't possibly be worth the outcome. And so, she wanted to stop the War. She talked with King Azureo Stelaris, asking him to make a peace contract with the Humans. The King was too enraged in losing his son, and refused. No amount of negotiation could change the mind of a broken father. He apologized to Lykoria, and the battle continued. The monsters end up losing. The Humans, victorious, decided to further torment Monsters by gathering 7 of their most powerful sages. They created a barrier that would need the same amount of power as when it was created, in order for it to be destroyed. Lykoria was almost hopeless. Freedom to roam the Human Realm was now gone, and the King was deeply depressed. He lost his son, and the battle created to avenge him. However, being sealed behind a magical barrier, all of Monster-kind could still live. Due to the isolation from interfering humans, all was peaceful again. Should we try again later, or just accept? Monsters aren't sure.Theia is pregnant. She spent time taking it easy, and eventually were informed it would be a boy. Boreas took a long break from his job to further care for his wife. 7 months later, he was born. Raveno, the name Boreas chose. Theia had to go back to work a few weeks later, so the siblings took turn with their parents to take care of the new family member.12 years old: One day, Lykoria was exploring around the forest near her home, when she found a cave with a glowing entrance. She approached it, before suddenly being sucked into the cave by some powerful, unknown force. She closed her eyes, but when she opened them again, she was in another forest. everything was black but all the trees, rocks, and plants had white and glowing outlines to them. It seemed to be the same forest, but some sort of alternate version of it. Lykoria picked up a nearby apple, it was black and had a lot of tiny white spots on it, looking almost like stars. She was hungry. Absolutely starving, as her habit of exploring for days straight was catching up to her. Lykoria took a bite out of it, and it tasted... tingly? Something strange started to happen. It was... Incredibly painful. Her hands and feet started turning black, and the blackness started spreading up her arm and legs, before stopping near her elbows and knees. Parts of her tail turned black, and her left eye and sections of her hair have acquired black as well. Lykoria dropped the apple, and fell to the ground, unable to handle the feeling. It took a while to recover, before going back through the cave, and returning to the normal forest. Once she arrived home, she was immediately checked over by Theia. She's been damaged by Abyssal Void Corruption.13 years old: The Void Corruption truly has affected Lykoria. Every few months, it consumes her completely, forcing Theia to invest all time into creating a Corruption Suppression tonic. Consuming it significantly lowers the amount of pain Lykoria has to suffer through. Though, combining it with a method of extracting excess corruption seems to be most effective and extends the timer. Lykoria is tired.... And she only wonders for how much longer she has to go through it before she completely numbs to it.16 years old: One day, after exploring the forest in the Void Portal, Lykoria saw a brightly glowing and white light in the distance, behind many trees. As she approached it, the light grew softer. Once she got close enough, it was noticed that within the light, there was a black crystal. It looked shattered with small fragments of itself floating around. It glowed with a white outline.Never seeing anything like it before, Lykoria reached out towards it, wanting to grab it for a closer look. Immediately after her hands were on the crystal, it started to glow so brightly that she had to drop it and shield her eyes. After several moments, she slowly lowered her arms to look around at her surroundings. The crystal was on the ground, but it has split into 5 fragments of condensed elemental energy. After picking one up, it seems to absorb itself directly into Lykoria's soul. She holds her arm out to see that the black parts of her glow with a white outline. A large "Twilight Scythe" appears in her hand, causing her to almost fall. Confused, and unsure what to do with the scythe, she simply wishes for it to go away. And so it turns to Twilight energy and goes back into her soul. Lykoria decides to take the other crystals with her and goes back to her home. While changing into pajamas for the night, Lykoria noticed a large black spade on the middle of her back. She found her Mother and explained the situation to her. Theia expressed great interest and offered to heavily research into it for her, and Lykoria accepted, happily. A week later, she gathered her entire family to explain all that happened, and presented her 4 siblings with the crystallized fragments. They gained enhanced abilities, just like Lykoria.Lykoria: Black Spade, Abyssal Void
Skylia: Black Club, Radiant Sanctum
Equinox: Red Diamond, Harmony
Soleia: Red Heart, Blazing Sun
Raveno: Fleur de Lis, Toxic MoonThese abilities were entrusted with them,
and hopefully correctly.18 years old: The Lycan siblings have decided, collectively, to begin working. Skylia was the person to convince Lykoria in becoming a Royal Judge for King Azureo. Her little sister truly and completely believed that Lykoria was capable of doing the right thing under any amount of pressure. That would prove to be useful later on, right?Soleia changed her job from working in a supermarket to being a chef for the local restaurant, Feuera Diner. Lykoria applied for the position of Royal Judge. Azureo called her into his office and simply laughed, immediately approving it. He sees Lykoria as a daughter, and has been there for her through most of her life. So the King helped her learn all the basics of giving Judgment to those who either need innocent guidance or moral correction. She was a natural, with great Patience and true Sincerity. Being a peaceful Realm, Lykoria didn't need to attend the duties she was given, very often. The "Hall of Twilight" was used only a couple times per month. Azureo would still convince her to come over often for tea, to which she's never able to decline.21 years old: Skylia has become a Fashion Model, and works alongside popular Idol of the Monster Realm, Willow. Having recently turned 18, she tries her best to be independent, and yet finds herself constantly turning to Soleia and Lykoria for guidance and help. Equinox has taken over the role of Manager, since he is the one closest to her. A couple humans have been trapped into the Monster Realm, and Lykoria is trying her best to assist King Azureo and Queen Ivy with making decisions on what to do with them. The future is looking promising, and the present is enjoyable. Let's check back in with Lykoria a final time, shall we?
